WNC Healthy Kids and local health departments have partnered through the Community Transformation Grant to bring It’s OK to Play to the WNC region. It’s Okay to Play is a great way to reach your goal of 60 minutes of active play a day. For additional tips and resources about playing 60 minutes a day, click here.
Anyone can be a designated It’s OK to Play spot. Currently, schools, churches and community centers in Avery, Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, Mitchell and Yancey County have joined the It’s Okay to Play Campaign. Just be on the lookout for It’s Okay to Play signs around town!
For more information or if you’re interested in being a partner, please contact Erin Braasch.
Take the 5-2-1 Almost None message with you wherever you wander. Find out how you can get involved where you live, work, play, or pray.
